Facebook have launched a new feature known as Stories. Sound familiar? That’s because it has a striking resemblance to Snapchats stories. This new feature is being rolled out only in Ireland. Facebook have been “testing” a new in-app feature since October 2016.
If you’re familiar with Snapchat’s Stories and Instagram Stories, then you’ll understand how Facebook’s version works. You can upload video or picture, which will be available on Facebook Stories, for 24hours. You can also send it directly to someone, like you can on Instagram. The content won’t appear anywhere else on Facebook unless you upload it elsewhere. You can expect it to look like the image below.

Facebook have clearly noticed that the way we share content has changed significantly. It’s more visual based and on demand.
With Snapchat gaining 150 million users daily it was only a matter of time until Facebook got in on the action. Not only that, Instagram (who Facebook own), have also seen a rise in people using their feature with 100 million users a day.
If it’s not appearing in your app you can expect to see it in the coming weeks. Available to both Android and Ios.
