This is a quick tutorial about how to create a fresh install of WordPress from within your CPanel.
Its part 3 of 3 in our mini series about setting up a new domain and moving your old site over.
Log into your cpanel account
Navigate to Software

Click on Site Software

Choose WordPress

Fill in the form

Just a few things to note.
- Try not to use admin as a username.
- Use the password generator as it will create something far more complex than your normal passwords.
- Make sure you change to install folder. If you leave it on the default setting it will install wordpress in yourdomain.com/wordpress. This means when someone visits your site they will be vistiing yourdomain.com/wordpress. Delete what’s in the box and that will install WordPress in yourdomain.com.
- Change the table prefix to something else, anything else. Leaving it at WP will make it easier for hackers to exploit your database.
Click on Install
Click on the install button to finish the process. Give the installer a few seconds and it will let you know when it’s finished.
